The Principals' Partnership
a Program of Union Pacific Foundation
Union Pacific recognizes the vital
role that high school principals play in our nations
education system, and we are committed to their growth
and success. To fulfill this commitment, we have created
The Principals Partnership, a program
designed to assist principals in selected Union Pacific
communities to meet their leadership needs and professional
growth objectives.
The Partnership consists
of on-site assistance from an education professional,
networking
among principals from similar communities and school
settings, a Summer Institute focused on the needs
of
Partnership principals, professional development
activities in the various UP regions during the
academic
year and principalspartnership.org,
a rich resource that provides information and online
assistance for high school reform efforts and
a virtual
community of principals who share ideas, strategies
and stories of improvement in their own schools.
Principals are invited to participate, during which
time they will have the opportunity to work in
depth on their own professional growth and
the leadership skills necessary to fulfill their school
improvement goals and plans.
