      Dr. Anthony Spivey is the principal of George Henry Corliss High School in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Spivey is featured in a new series of video training materials called "Secondary Principals as Leaders of Learning" from The Video Journal of Education. In his segment, "Promoting Solutions to Increase Learning in Today's School," Dr. Spivey focuses on how to create a culture of learning. According to Dr. Spivey, "the number one process is collaboration -- having opportunities to collaborate on best practices and student work. That's what we pride ourselves on; that's the foundation that we put in place here." He adds that from the district to the classroom level, Corliss High School has built layers upon layers of teachers collaborating with their colleagues to make their school improvement goals a reality.
