Ursula Harrison Named Wyoming High School
Principal of the Year

Ursula Harrison, principal of Whiting High
School in Laramie, Wyoming was named the 2003 Wyoming High
School Principal of the Year.
She has been an educator for 30 years, having taught in all
grades preK- 12 and in 3 countries. Ursula is a strong advocate
for vocational education and believes that all children can
be successful.
Ursula is a member of Zonta
International, a group of professional women who support
women’s issues
around the world.
She is a graduate of the University of Leicester
and Rugby College with a master’s degree earned at
Lesley College in Boston. She has also done advanced graduate
work at the
University of Denver
Ursula is married, lives in Laramie and has 2 children attending
the University of Wyoming. Ursula
is a first year participant in the Principals’ Partnership,
sponsored by Union Pacific.
