Partnership Lead Team Meets with Texas Education Leaders

The Principals’ Partnership
Lead Team of consultants met with Archie E. McAfee, executive director, Texas
Association of Secondary School Principals, and eight members of the Texas state
government who have educational responsibilities last month in Austin since The
Partnership came into Texas in January.
“Our
goal was to inform the Texas Education Department, the
Senate Committee on Education, and other
governmental offices about The Partnership and what it can
bring school leaders in Texas,” said Jim Hoffman, Partnership
executive director. “Additionally, we had the opportunity
to learn about education in Texas.”
The
program was arranged by Union Pacific Executives Joe Adams
and Ron Olson. Approximately
160 high school leaders
in Texas have joined The Partnership. Attendees included
staff from the Texas Education Department, the Senate Committee
on Education, and the Lieutenant Governor’s office.
