Quality professional development
in a nationally-recognized setting awaits the 600-plus
principals who will attend the fourth annual Principals’ Partnership
Summer Institute July 11-14.
The site is the Desert Springs JW Marriott Resort & Spa
in Southern California, featuring a 36-hole championship
golf course, a lobby with cascading waterfalls and waterways
to shops and eight restaurants, clay and grass tennis courts,
a 30,000 square foot spa facility, and five swimming pools.
 Information on the program will appear on the Web
site in the coming months. Principals should look for
registration
materials, which they will receive both electronically
and through regular mail, around the beginning of
April.
“While our main goal is to provide our principals the best
professional development possible at the Institute, we
also believe the meeting can be held in an attractive, relaxing
site,” points out Executive Director Jim Hoffmann.
Nestled near the Santa
Rosa Mountains, the Desert Springs facility features:
•A 30,000 square foot spa facility with steam rooms, whirlpools,
saunas and a fitness area with state of the art equipment.
It has been called one of the best spas in the world.
 •A 36-hole championship golf course designed by Ted Robinson.
•The Desert Springs Colonnade with numerous shops on
the property.
•Five
swimming pools
•A garden area, home to 23 species of exotic birds including
flamingos and parrots.
•What Tennis Magazine calls
one of the 50 greatest U.S. Tennis resorts.
•25,000 sq. ft. of conference
space to accommodate the Institute’s
55 workshops, eight assemblies, three general sessions,
and the opening reception and dinner.

JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa outside of Phoenix—when
they return to the Summer Institute in 2006. The dates
